Privacy Policy — Bowlful

Effective: September 3, 2026. Applies to the iOS app Bowlful by Giang Dinh.

1. The short version

Bowlful collects no data. It has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and it never connects to the internet. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.

2. What the app stores on your device

Your progress — which piles you have finished, what is on your shelves, a pile you left half-way, and your settings (haptics, sound, tilt, Assist mode, colour marks). This is saved in a single file inside the app's own private storage on your iPhone.
That file is included in your normal iPhone backups (iCloud or computer) because Apple backs up app data by default. We never see it.
Deleting the app deletes the file.

3. Device motion

If Tilt to nudge is on (Settings), the app reads your iPhone's motion sensors to let the pile lean the way you tilt the phone. Readings are used for that moment only; they are not stored, not analysed and not transmitted. iOS does not ask for a permission for this kind of motion use. You can turn it off at any time in Settings.

4. Haptics and sound

The app uses your iPhone's Taptic Engine and speaker for feedback. No information is collected through them.

5. What we do not do

No personal information is collected, requested or stored.
No identifiers are read (no advertising identifier, no device fingerprinting).
No third-party SDKs are included — no analytics, no ads, no crash reporters.
No network requests are made by the app, ever.
No tracking, as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

The app's App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected", and its privacy manifest declares no tracking, no tracking domains, no collected data types and no required-reason API use.

6. Children

Because the app collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children. It is not part of the App Store Kids category and shows no ads.

7. Purchases

Bowlful is a paid app sold by Apple through the App Store. Your purchase, receipt and any refund are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy. The app itself has no in-app purchases and does not verify or read your receipt.

8. Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be shown in the app (About → Privacy) and at the hosted address above, with a new effective date. A change that would begin collecting any data would also change the App Store privacy label first.
